THE FIRST TRACE OF THE SACONE FAMILY, PRESENT IN THE FINALE FOR THE PAST TEN CENTURIES

date back to the 1386 official census, which lists a "Sacone Family" as belonging to the Finale community. In 1956, Jennio Luigi Sacone bought a property consisting in red "Tormellina" and white "Villa Fulchieri" soils, adding new Rossese and Vermentino to the existing Lumassina vineyards.

Sacone wine is produced mainly along the slopes of the famous Rocca di Perti, a world-famous natural limestone amphitheater that dates back to 20 million years ago. The hillside vineyards are adjacent to a cliff where an extensive layer of detritus gives origins to soils rich in both red clay and white limestone.

The area's climate can be classified as humid Mediterranean, with average temperatures ranging from 12.4° C in the winter and 17.5° C in the summer. The Sacone family has always focused on quality in both its wine and oil production . Selective grape harvests are conducted and the wine cellar (of pre-Romanesque origin dug in rock) is remodernized on a continuous basis. The farmhouse (of medieval origin with an 18th century tower) is ideal for training both professional and amateur winemakers who love to combine culture and Ligurian art with good cuisine and… good wine.
